T-Bolt RAW recording

The brochure states that the SDI output is always 1920x1080 but what is the Thunderbolt connection output. Can you record RAW to a computer connected RAID or other drive though that connection? If so, what is the minimum specs for your recording device?

The answer is no.
I too wish this was possible.

The Thunderbolt port of the camera outputs uncompressed 4:2:2 10-bit 1920x1080 video while recording live with the camera.

You can capture video from the Thunderbolt port with a variety of video software supported by the camera including: Apple Final Cut Pro 7, Adobe Premiere Pro CS6, Avid Media Composer 6, Blackmagic Media Express 3 and DaVinci Resolve 9. Each of these applications have their own project preferences which let you capture the video in an uncompressed or compressed video format of your choice.

I can assume also that it's no problem to record the SDI output simultaneously to an external recorder like the Sony R1 or Samurai then?

Correct. The BMCC's HD-SDI output is reportedly a bog-standard signal, and can be set to be "clean", e.g.: uncluttered by overlay text, icons or menus. Reportedly it also can be set to "Film" (log) or "Video" (Rec.709) gamma.

Any device (monitor, recorder, etc.) compatible with a standard, progressive 1080p HD-SDI signal should work with the BMCC. Cheers.

Trying to get an answer to this on another thread, but does anyone know what exactly that "film" signal out of the SDI tap is? S-Log, C-Log, or what other version of a log signal? It would make sense if it was, I would just like to know exactly what is being output when in that "film" mode.

What programs will capture thunderbolt output on a PC that has thunderbolt ports?
