URSA Mini Pro Startup Issue

PostSat Apr 08, 2017 11:36 pm

I've had my URSA Pro for a couple weeks now, and it's been working perfectly. It's been a different story this week, as the camera boots the flip-out panel displays red lines across 75% of the screen for 2 minutes. This only happens when the camera boots when it's at room temperature, and after allowing 2 minutes for the camera to warm up, it appears to function as designed. It's pretty disappointing.

Has anyone else had this issue? I'm thinking it's a bad soldered connection to the panel.

I would contact your BM Regional Support office with this one. Not normal behavior as far as I know.

That is not normal. You should contact support so they can diagnose the problem.

Thanks for your input. Apparently I’m the first person to have this issue.

I have a shoot here soon, so can’t send it over immediately, but fortunately I fixed it by resetting the camera to factory settings. Josh Stroh over at Black Magic still recommended to get it check out.
