SDI output(s) REC 709 & ?? Film ??

PostMon Sep 03, 2012 7:23 pm

When monitoring or recording via the SDI connection when the camera is set to Video, it outputs REC 709, OK, so when it is set to Film mode, is it sending out a gamma curve like S-Log or C-log? If so is there a chart somewhere to see how that curve looks on paper?

It is sending out log. There is no chart that I know of with this curve at this time. Maybe we can get one later.

It's BMD's version of log, which is very flat, to get the very most out of the sensor. I'm calling it "b-Log". Like S log is "Sony Log".... :-)
