do we need to use a third party software for copying the files from the SSD to our computer if we are not using an intermediary?

for example if i use a pre approved SSD in the BMCC and i have the ability to connect a SSD easily to my computer do i need to use something like shot put pro to copy the files instead of windows explorer?

Using that software or similar would be the most reliable way of doing it. That's not to saying you 'need' to though.

If you are in Windows just use explorer to copy the files over. When you delete the files from the SSD just make sure to empty the recycle bin. No other magic needed.
