Hi everyone,
I finished customizing the basic layout of my cage rig for the BMCC. Since I am still in the cue on preorder for my camera, I have to use my 5D to demonstrate it. The top plate will get a battery plate mount for the Sony BP-U60, and has plenty of 1/4-20 holes for monitor, mic mounts etc.
I will use a spring rod with a waist belt to carry the main weight of the camera when operating in this mode and of course I have a shoulder rig I can quickly convert it to if I want to shoot on shoulder mount.
The basics of the cage come from a Korean supplier I found on ebay. It is beautifully machine and I got mine for $200 US plus shipping.

I then picked up a couple of old Hassleblad pistol grips off ebay use which are far superior to the stem grips that come with it. For one, they swivel, allowing you nice control on pans etc, plus have a great feel in your hands.
With a lens strap rig I can pull focus myself with a single finger, allowing me more versatility and adaptability for quick run and gun.
I will add photos of the shoulder rig at a later date
