Has anyone else had a problem with the camera locking up while recording

I am using a Samsung 256gig (I did the speed test and the drive passed) to record at the moment and are the drives supposed to be that loose in the camera?

We're you able to shutdown the BMCC and resume recording after you restarted the camera? Could have just been a temporary software glitch if restarting fixed everything.

If you still can't record, I assume you have the drive completely inserted and your pins are not bent. Apparently the drive bay can take a 9.5mm thick SSD so if your SSD is only 7mm, it may not be quite secure in the port. I believe some people have used a couple of old credit cards or something like that to add to the thickness of their thin drives to help it remain secure. I'm sure other people haven't needed to do that though. If the pins are straight and you feel you have good contact when inserting the SSD, It might help.

Thanks for your response Rick,

Looks like its a connection issue with the 7mm drives, I have now propped some plastic under the drive to see if it will stay connected since every time I restart the camera it says no drive detected, I am a bit gutted that BM had designed this for a single type and not told anyone, if this was not a studio shoot I would be stressing....
