Investing in lenses for MFT (Speed Booster)

PostThu Mar 28, 2013 1:34 pm

Had an accident with a lens so while it is in repair I'm looking to invest in some new glass to shoot.
While I'm waiting for my BMCC MFT I still shoot on a Nikon D800.
Also interested in buying the Metabones Speedbooster.
Have a lot of interesting glass from Nikon and with manual aperture.

My question is: Is it interesting to invest in the Zeiss distagon 35mm 1.4?
Because it is not a automatic aperture....
Is it possible to change aperture with a adapter in between the Speed Booster and the lens?

If not possible. Maybe other glass interesting?

They will be releasing the MFT versions in a month or so.

You also have the Carl Zeiss: ZF.2 Distagon 35 mm f/2.0. This is manual aperture but not a fast lens.
I considered the Rokinon/Samyang 35 mm, but it's to good to be true... maybe anyone has experience with these lenses?
The fact is that you can buy 2 of these lenses at the price of one Zeiss. (not talking about the CP's)
