Hello People

Have a little question.

The Corsair Force Series GT SSD is compatible with the BMDCC?

Take care

if it's 2.5" and you can format it correctly then it will work with the BMCC; however you should test it for speed to see if you can only do prores or if you can manage to do full 2.5K Raw.

For instance the Sandisk Extreme series of SSDs are rated at 550MB/s R/W speeds. but the actual test using Blackmagics's disk speed test utility/app thingy showed about 250 - 260 MB/s Write speeds on my drives.

Has the same speed listed or tested? If you've tested it, then yes, go for it. If you mean that Corsair lists the same speed as Sandisk lists for theirs, no...you can't trust those numbers.

What Sean said.
But really as long as it can consistantly write at over 150MB/s it should be good right? cause 5MB frames at 2.5K times 30 frames a second is only 150MB... if its not on the list of supported SSDs, and its more expensive than the Sandisk Extremes, why bother?

I also bought some of the red ones. And some of the black ones too.
Both versions are rock solid on my workstation.

On the other hand I had 6 OCZ drives fail on me. Put 100 Euro in shipping costs to get exchanges.
Each subsequent drive was faulty again. Grrrr.
