Sensor temp calibration during Firmware Setup 2.6 to 1.7?

Looking at some posts of users with issues in their cameras that were fixed by firmware rollback and reinstall before the "-mini" product lines, and looking at the Camera Setup Utility from versions 2.6 through 1.7 (2.5, 2.4, 2.01, 1.9.2) I suspect at minimum that the camera setup utility requests - sensor temperature and calibration for some models of the BMD cameras.

Could anyone speak to this and if so which models?

(Replying to self - sorry about that)
Ok, let me try and ask differently... trying not to get anyone nervous - self-redacted about 10 times before posting.

Executing something against something results in a lot of stuff including what my initial question is based on, these symbols which looks like this:

Code: Select all
getImageSensorTemperature()
setTargetTemperature()
disableFan()
disablePeltier()

The hypothesis is - When camera setup shipped using Boost and not Core there was some calibration during firmware upgrades to some BM cameras sensor temperature at minimum. - On reading about 470 pages of this forum, I've read multiple reports of repeat programming and firmware rollback on cameras which fixed issues that would relate to temperature. Which read like "You have to roll back and do new firmware at least three times before the image looks like X or Y..."

Also regarding URSA:

Code: Select all
ursa_fpga1
ursa_fpga1_v2
ursa_sensor_type_v2

of which there are about 3 ursa_fpgaX.

This would mean V1 and V2 URSA have/needed different fpga1 handling whether in sensor or in camera body.

If fpga1 is not on the turret it should mean the URSA_V2 is not interchangeable with URSA_V1 w/o fPGA swap unless all URSA's shipped with a mixed set of of fpga1 and fpga_v2 regardless of sensor. Or if fpga_v2 refers to different binary resource loaded onto it's eeprom based on sensorType, which is also as likely.

Anyone swap V1 to V2 Turret on any URSA with success?

These could also refer to 4.6k vs. 4k sensor types. Again same obersvations apply in different fpga1 blocks.

Other cameras are referred to as not the production names so hard to figure out up and down.
