Wow I feel really bad for all the people who just got their cinema cameras because for just $1000 you can get the new BM Production Camera that shoots super 35mm at 4k.... Or the new pocket bmcc that shoots 1080p raw for $1000

Availability ? BM still needs to get through their remaining pre-orders for the EF mount of the BMCC, nevermind MFT orders... and then it'll take them another year(?) before these new cameras are actually in hand ?

I'd love to have two of the new 4k units... but another massive pre-order wait... ergh. Oh and being South African I also have to pay upfront on a pre-order (so you loose the use of that cash for... 8 months ?).

Funny, this pocket camera looks a lot like this one http://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4187&p=25780#p25780 I posted as a joke a few months back. I take full credit for the creation of this product. :-)

If BMD had consulted us all before going ahead they would not have made the mistakes with the v1. I mean rolling shutter, EF mount on S16 style sensor just doesnt make sense.

For a digital S16 at $995 it makes perfect sense, s16 is back baby! with a huge following, I loved it back then, and I love it more now, Bring it on!

This is the film camera your kids can shoot on, just like I did many years ago,
S16 has a look that will fill the joy we have been missing from digital cameras for years.

I'm referring to BMC v1 EF mount with S16 style sensor, rolling shutter. Its a late night for you I guess.
