Hello everyone,

A topic I'm sure we are all thinking about: "What PL to EF adapters are out there that are functional with the BMCC EF and Zeiss CP.2 lens sets?"

Anyone? Thank you in advance?

Hi Karl, I've got some CP.2 lenses with PL mount myself. So I had to do the same decision and finally I came to the conclusion that changing the mount is way better than going for an adapter. So I went for the Zeiss IMS Mounts and changed from PL to EF. It was a bit of work to find out the perfect matching shims for every lens - especially 'cause my BMCC's flange distance is not correct - but in the end all of them are set up to the spot.

I know of 2 adapters, haven't tried either, but i do know that CP.2s and CZ.2's all come with changeable mounts so you can get them in EF.

unless you plan to use more PL glass, I'd suggest just getting the lenses changed.

the adapters I am referring to are:
KCW Technica
Pro Optic

Alas the only camera in our arsenal that doesn't support PL is the BMCC. In addition, as we also have a wonderful Zeiss Highspeed Distagon set here at LIFT an adapter would allow for the use of both our CP2's and DIstagons with the BMCC.

I'm keeping my eyes open for a compatible adapter, but thank you both regardless for your efforts.

Cheers!
