Dumb question but, just purchased a shock mount (Pearstone DUSM 1). My dilemma is the shock mount has a hot shoe mount/ 3/8 thread mount. Now my question is how would i attach this to either A my blackmagic or B, my rig. I Have a Gini Rig, and would like to put it on top of one of the threads (picture attached), if not i have no problem putting it on top if the blackmagic with the right adapter...

Wooden Camera sells a nice cold shoe that can be bolted to one of 1/4-20 threaded holes on top of the BMCC:

On-Stage makes some cheap adapters, but not sure what thread is on your Gini rig

The thread on the gini looks like 7/16, not 100% sure but I tried different size adapters and that looked closest.
