matching BMCC & C300

PostThu May 09, 2013 12:45 pm

What would be the best way to mix footage of the BMCC with Canons C300 and get the colour/gamma matching.
I use the CinemaLog PP on the C300 and the ProRes 'film' on the BMCC.

Offcourse, I will do some testing, but some tips would help.

Thnx

use resolve and look at your scopes and monitors. It should be fairly easy to intercut between the two in a controlled environment. if anything you may have to blow some of the highlights from the BMCC to match.

I would suggest Shooting the BMCC in film mode and the c300's in clog, and then use Filmconvert to color them. Filmconvert has presets for both the BMCC and C300, and that should get you very close to matching since the filmconvert setting are custom built for each camera.
