Red line on camera boot up

PostWed May 15, 2013 11:38 pm

Sorry if this has been asked before, I ran a search but couldn't find anything.

I got my camera today from 3D Broadcast (yay!) and I'm just as impressed with it as I'd hoped, which is great after all this time waiting

Just one little niggle, each time I switch it on, there's a line of pixels on the upper right hand side of the monitor that appear red, but go back to normal once the camera has finished booting within a second or so. They don't seem to be dead - they work fine and don't appear any different after this phenomenon. Could they be damaged?

Anyone else seen this? Just curious!

Woohoo!! You finally got yours. :-)

That sounds odd. I've not noticed that issue with mine. Will have a look in the morning.

Does it appear on every boot up?

Cheers, good to know! At least I'll be able to tell my camera apart

I'm not w8ing on anything. When I can check one out and buy it over the counter, I "might". ;)

Yes don't blame you. I pre-ordered the 4k model the day it came out but decided to cancel and wait until its on the shelves this time. I've learnt my lesson!

I'm curious as to whether I should be thinking about contacting BMD about this red line business though, quite happy to live with it but just a little worried it could be a sign there is something wrong with the monitor? Anyone know about touch monitors?
