How good is the Voigtländer 25/0,95 on the BMCC?
Seems like it might be the perfect match for the BMCCensor size?
Vingetting? Too soft?

I don't really get all the hoopla about this lens... I mean, I do really like that it's a very fast lens - BUT - it really doesn't do anything for you in terms of field of view.
So it's fast, but you're still going to need something wider...

That really depends on your shooting style doesn't it? Plus you can't deny it'd be a really great lens to have in your arsenal, along with a few wider lenses like an 11-16 or something.

I used this lens for one week on a GH2 and AF100. I find the straight bladed diaphram creates unpleasant bokeh and flares when it's not wide open. It's a consideration if you ever shoot stopped down, which is kinda normal.

When did I say otherwise?

I think the Voigtlander is an amazing lens. Robust and beautifully constructed, very solid. Focus is smooth. I like the image it produces. And wide open at 0.95 it is pretty rad.
Yeah, you'll need a wider option, but that hardly takes away from this lens for what it is. I look forward to using this on the cinema camera.

The sharpness that this lens brings while able to maintain an organic look is what makes it magical.
