Phantom Power issue BMPCC 4K

PostMon Nov 05, 2018 11:37 pm

Can't seem to get phantom power working. Looking at the manual I need to select XLR-Line as the source in page 1 of the audio tab. I have done that for both Chanel 1 and 2 source. When I go to page 2 of the audio tab phantom power is grayed out and I can't turn it on. I have a mic plugged in to the mini xlr port. Any ideas on what's going on? Tired with 2 different mics to make sure the mic was OK. Also tried 2 different cables. Must be something in my settings?

You have to set it to XLR-Mic, then you will get phantom power. Phantom power for XLR-Line does not make sense, as there is no mic outputting line levels.
Saying "Thx for help!" is not a crime.

Thanks. After a bunch of fiddling around I found it. For some reason XLR Mic was not showing up in the menu. It wasn't one of the choices. XLR line was there. Something I did? Not sure what? caused it to now show up and it works brilliantly. I'll try to see if I can recreate whatever it was that made it not show up though.
