Hello

Can I power the BMPCC4k with my Swit S8082S battery via the Viewfactor battery plate?

I attached a picture!

(I used it for my BMCC 2.5K MFT camera perfectly)

This Swit S-8082s battery has D-tap out.... So buying the Blackmagic D-Tap cable package or the Wooden Camera version is okay for the BMPCC4K?

Or is there a way I use the Viewfactor battery plate? Or maybe just using this viewfactor only as a "rig" and power the camera via Swit D-Tap through Wooden Camera D-tap cable to BMPCC4K?

Waiting for your answer!

As long as the battery can output 30W+, what the AC adapter outputs 12Vx2.5A=30W DC it should be fine. The cameras web page say "Power 12V-20V" so if the battery pack can output like 3 amps at that 14.4 voltage it should be more than enough.

So if I try it, can it damage the camera?

I see that Wooden Camera advertises a D-tab cable so every V-Lock battery with D-tap can be used...

So basically all I have to buy is a D-Tap cable for my current Swit battery and I can use it, right?

(I found the Blackmagic version.... and the Wooden Camera version already... )

I have the same Viewfactor battery plate and have already tried it on the PCC4k together with the BMD cable pack. Both options work - either by using the barrel connector or D-Tap.

Hey Robert,

thanks for the answer!

I try not to damage my camera, so thanks for the confirmation!

Do you think Blackmagic DC power cable pack is better solution than Wooden Camera single D-Tap cable? Blackmagic 3 cable set is more versatile and cheaper I think...
