When to expect next update?

It was said that there'll soon be an update about 2 Months ago. Of course 1.3 came out but it wasn't an update compared to the other two before.

Do we have to wait until July when the other two cams are announced to be shipped or will there be an update in a very short time?

If we learn something here is that soon means nothing.... really.... ask the mft guys that had been told soon for 6 months every 2 months....
I think they are just too busy thinking what are they going to sell us next.... (there is nothing wrong with that, but not like this BM)

NO, this is NOT true.

Show me where BM has ever posted an update or shipping estimate for the MFT that said "soon". They never have. They've been quite honest and stated that they were going to ship almost all the preorder EF mounts before they shipped that MFT version. THAT is what they've said. There are still some people on this forum who haven't received their EF version yet, but that number has been dropping fast.

I know you MFT guys are frustrated, but keep to the facts and stop spreading false claims that breed pessimistic and hateful posts.

Sorry for the silence guys, it's crazy here at NAB! No, the MFT BMCC camera is not dead. We have it showcased here at the booth as well! The beta MFT cameras are out, I think they were waiting for some feedback from those folks, and the MFTs will ship soon. No, I don't know exactly how soon. Can't comment on active MFT rumors, since we don't comment on future releases.

They've been saying it for months, though with months between repetitions.

They've been quite honest and stated that they were going to ship almost all the preorder EF mounts before they shipped that MFT version. THAT is what they've said. There are still some people on this forum who haven't received their EF version yet, but that number has been dropping fast.

EFs are in stock at retailers, yet they refuse to say anything more useful than "not yet, but as soon as we catch up on EF preorders" which no longer computes... because you can order an EF and get it shipped to you the next day now. Or with some retailers, you can have an EF shipped to you later the same day if you order early enough in the day.

How many retailers? Two in the US? Four in Japan?

CVP, the UK's biggest retailer of Blackmagic products are only now shipping pre-orders placed in July last year. Apparently they've had 10 units since the new cameras were announced. They have not had their initial launch day order filled yet.

Although what you're saying is true, you're misrepresenting the situation. The vast majority of EF pre-orders have not be filled, and that's why no update nor shipping MTF models so far.

You should let BMD own this one, they need to take responsibility for stringing customers along.....
