My wish list:

1. Modular design (hint: Red/ Alexa Mini)
2. Rugged and built to be faithful on set
3. 6K Super 35 4:3 sensor
4. Lowlight capable with BRAW

Smart naming, so that my camera does not a name which is longer than my address.

A 6.2 update for the Mini 4.6k... because that would make it like a new camera.

Considering what BM offers, "professional" isn't in the camera but in the hands it's in.

Have you looked at the link to NewsShooter’s article on the RED/NVIDIA alliance to support 8K that Wayne posted in the thread “Is 8K OK?”

On the scale of Consumer / Prosumer / Pro it looks like size matters. The size of your wallet.

Yes, have seen that. Some people do have 8K on their wishlist.
Right now, looking at my wallet, I would be satisfied with 6K. :D

Edit: Frankly I don't mind 4.6 too, but if 6K downsamples to 4K very well if 4K is the delivery option. But what I really want is BM cameras go low-light friendly.

Low-light and professional contradict each other, in my opinion. Except for special purposes like docs or ENG I don't see where there has been a problem with the light capabilities of the BM cameras.
If you want professional results, light your scenes.

It will likely be for much different target audience than the pocket camera 4k ( and different price bracket )

That being said I hope this new "carbon-fiber" poly-carbonate material they used on the pocket 4k doesn't become a trend. I understand why they did it, to accommodate easy use with gimbals. It's echoed in many reviews, it feels kinda "cheap" & "plasticy"

Blackmagic do really great work with metal, really love the aluminum build qualities of the previous camera's.

I have no reason to hate on the new material, having a pocket camera 4k I will say I appreciate the light weight of it but I don't have a huge amount of optimism for it in the case of a major drop or some other catastrophic impact ( even with a cage ) No matter what the marketing says.

Knocking on wood I never have to found out... ;) :?

Well, some UMs had their side cover broken when falling on it with the handle attached.
No, an iGPU is not enough, and you can't use HEVC 10 bit 4:2:2 in the free version.

But that was lightweight magnesium in the UM46K which has low impact resistance. It’s fragile. When my URSA Mini 4.6K slid off my tripod’s Sony VCT-14 plate due to operator error, somehow it thankfully landed almost flat on the BMD shoulder mount with no damage to the camera.

Nikon uses 6K from the sensor readout, down sampled 4K/UHD in its new Z6 Camera for shooting video. So it seems this will be a very useable option in the near future.

In no particular order.

6k-bayer-sensor for perfect 4k-de-bayered RGB output.
Dual-ISO or Dual sensor read out(like now wit 2x11 bits) with 2x16 bits(higher EI and over a bigger range).
Direct recording to M2 MVMe drives(cheap and fast).
Audio dials with hard stops.
Cineform capture.
Autofocus (like C200).

We all know no camera can shoot in the dark. The word "photography" has come from the word "photo", which means light. :D

I was only talking about better ISO capabilities. Maybe not Panasonic Varicam or Red Gemini, at least Canon C300?

Here are a few of my hopefully updates to the next camera:
    • 4:3 Sensor for True Anamorphic 35mm
    • 17.5 Stops of Dynamic Range
    • 120 FPS at Full Sensor
    • 4.6K or 6K Resolution (if need be)
    • Faster Rolling Shutter Readout
    • Dual ISO

And here are some of my hopes for a future camera even further down the line:
    • Wireless Video Add-On
    • Blackmagic Remote Follow Focus
    • Blackmagic Wireless Video Assist
    • The ability for the Remote Follow Focus and Wireless Video Assist to attach together to be used by AC
    • Camera Metadata Control from Wireless Video Assist
    • Bluetooth/Wi-Fi Timecode Sync to Blackmagic Audio Recorder
    • Blackmagic Audio Recorder to capture audio
    • Seamless Syncing in Post between Blackmagic Audio Recorder and Digital Cinema Camera
    • Blackmagic Slate that gets Metadata from Camera & Audio Recorder via Bluetooth/Wi-Fi

And, I could go on with the crazy future dream... however, I'll hold off on that for now.

1. Yes
2. 15 stops would do
3. 96 fps would do
4. Yes
5. Yes
6. Yes yes (which basically means no FPN at 1600 iso, if by chance the footage is under-exposed two stops, for me)

My 7th is:
A robust camera which holds good at a rigorous shooting.

Please and please, despite shooting with various cameras (rentals beginning with Arriflex 2C ending up with Alexa Mini, including Red One, Red Epic and Red Helium in between) and owning a few cameras (Canon MKII, III, IV, Sony A7s, A7s2, BMCC, BMPC4K, Ursa Mini 4K and Red Dragon S-W) these basics would be great.

I just want it on my front door. I only ask this.

And I promess I'd make a very well made review about it. (and shoot a lot of shorts and commercials after that).

Modular would be nice. Imagine an URSA in 2 pieces connected by fiber optic cables. Sell them separately, along with alternative "rear" units, like a rackmount RAW recorder or a rackmount processor w/SDI output. Run 100m fiber cables to your DIT rack. The front units could be interchangeable too, like could make a mono or IR version, or let users opt for a rolling shutter or global shutter sensor. The connection could be proprietary, let users buy the pieces separately and they're basically "bought in" to BMD for the long haul.

RE: your point #2, isn't it supposed to have 15 stops of DR already?
RE: your point #6, have you updated to 6.0 on the Ursa Mini Pro yet? It cleans up ISO 1600 quite a bit (and adds 3200, but I'm not sure if 3200 will be usable, and it actually has a weird bug that I posted about https://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=83781)

Yes true. That's why I didn't post about DR in my original post. But ummm, the DR at 1600 even with 6.0 is a bit questionable when the shadows do not remain clean when you need to push in post.

Saw you post about 3200 iso, found it weird. Will test it myself, but that will take a few days. Unfortunately I don't own a UMP and use my friend's camera once in a while. I am waiting for the ultimate "professional" camera from BMD. :D

However, I own a Red Dragon S-W and shoot quite a lot on it. This camera also claims to have a DR of 15, but I find it considerably cleaner at 1600-3200. I know, I should not be comparing between apples and oranges, and I am always sceptical about the claimed DR of all cameras in their tech specs.

Yes, actual DR always seems less than the tech specs. But again, DR is somewhat subjective, in how much noise in shadows yiu are willing to accept.
