Hello everyone in the community, i've got a question concerning the monitoring options i have during 4k recording with the new production camera.

I intend to built an onset/post monitoring solution out of a mac mini, UltraStudio Mini Recorder and the scope box software. The Mini Recorder only accepts sdi video signals with a resolution up to 1080p.

So my question is: can i output 1080p via sdi while i record 4k to the ssd?

This question is also relevant if you want to use any standard field monitor.

Yes, the BMPC-4K camera's 6G-SDI connector can output 1920 x 1080 HD-SDI when the camera is recording 4K.

No worries. It would have been a difficult thread to find without knowing some unique word within it. I remembered that Kristian had posted to the thread, so I searched on his name.
