Does the Ultra Studio Mini Monitor work with a direct feed off of the Cinema Camera and/or Production camera through the thunderbolt port? In other words, could we use the Ultra Studio Mini Monitor to export an HDMI signal from the Cinema Camera and/or Production Camera?

Anyone know if this is possible? Who wants to pay $300 for an SDI to HDMI converter when there is a $145 unit, right? Hello?

No. The UltraStudio mini (both monitor and recorder) need a host computer to function. The BMCC and BMPC4K are both seen as devices not hosts.
