Just installed 1.3.1 - my screen is now flickering both on menus and the lens feed. Agh! Going to back pedal to 1.3...

Turned the camera off and on a few times, charged it a bit from an external battery and the flicker has gone - how odd.

As per the user manual, this is normal. Your screen will flicker for about 2-5 minutes after doing a firmware update. No idea why - but this will always happen whenever you do a firmware update.

I had heard about flicker during updates but not after the update is completed. I searched the user manual but found only one mention of the word 'flicker', not to do with software updates. If you know where it is I'd be grateful!

It's in the readme file - not the manual:

After loading the software on the camera, you may notice a slight flickering on the built-in LCD screen. This is normal and expected behaviour. The flickering will go away after a few minutes of operation.

Has to do with the screen driver - nothing to worry about.

That's what I like about you Frank, always nice to have a short simple & Truthful answer, then everyone trying to chime in (including myself) acting like tech support, when we are not.

Cheers
