SDxc and CF Adapters?

PostSat Jun 01, 2013 8:05 pm

Does anyone know if there is an adapter where I can use SDXC or CF Cards in a SSD camera?
The only thing I could find close to it is below.

I know there are some SD and CF to IDE 2.5" On the market.
However I am not sure if they make any real SSD adapters.
I was just thinking we could save some extra costs that way.

Also has any one tried or seen any adapters like this that would work.

If so, or if you know any, e-mail me the information.

Don't bother. You'll not save any money, even if you manage to somehow adapt sd- or cf-cards to your BMCC. You'd need really fast (and thus: expensive) cards, and most certainly the interface adapter wouldn't be fast enough to keep up.

BM introduced a sdhc slot in the Pocket CC, but even with ProRes you need fast cards (30 mbyte/s writing speed), and compressed raw is only possible on the fastest cards available (90 mbyte/s or more). Uncompressed raw as from CC 2.5k is simply too high datarate for any SDxx card available! That's why you can't use any generic ssd either.
