Hello guys,

I've started putting a list of lenses on my website, it's early days but I hope you will find this usefull:

If you see to the right of each lens, I will be linking to photos of the pocket with the lens and videos shot with that lens. Unfortunately all I have at the moment is 1 pocket camera footage, so it's difficult to show my point but you get the idea.

I am just starting with M43 lenses, since we know they will work natively but I will be a adding cinema S16 lenses as I go.If you want to add any other lens to the list, please just post them here.

There are also many cinema lens for s16mm. I´m looking for a super speed 16mm to use it with an 35mm Lomo front square anamorphic. To get a 35mm or 40mm s35 equivalent with the Pocket.

Quite important factor I am trying to present is also the weight of every lens.
The Panasonic 14mm at 55gr is clearly the lightest of them all;)

A little bit confuse to me.

If I´m not wrong,s16 must have the same perforations as normal 16,just open the window horizontally to get 16:9.

No. Like S-35, S-16 is using an area that was reserved for a soundtrack in N-16 as image area, so it's wider. Plus, the sensor area we have been told is not exactly like S-16 when finally screened, in analog workflow there is some cropping going on in most cases down the chain.

I think these values I found after some research and calculation should help in lens tests:

– I'm using a GH2 for testing, which has 19mm x 10.7mm when shooting 16:9

– The BMPCC should have 12.48mm x 7.02mm

– So the image circle according to Phytagoras is 14.38mm

– The crop factor is 1.52 as compared to the GH2

– The number of horizontal pixels is 1842, so we put alignment lines at 479 px and 2321 px in Photoshop

– The width is 3274 px, so we need alignment lines at 851 px and 4125 px

Voilá, the blue frame is what the BMPCC should show in the end. Please correct me if anything's wrong!
