Edmika EOS lens mount

I just bought a 55mm Canon lens w/ an Edmika mount for converting FD lenses to EOS. Has anybody else tried one? I like the fact that the FD mount is replaced as opposed to putting on an adapter ring. From what I can see it looks pretty solid so I'm curious to give it a try and report back if anybody is interested.

I've been having trouble finding an affordable manual iris lens in the 50mm range. I know old Nikons are a good option but I was hoping to find something without the reversed focus direction. The one negative that I've read is that some of these adapted lenses may block the mirror if you use them on certain DSLRs, so they may not all work if you also do still photography.

Here's an eBay search for the mounts: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=edmika

Well the lens arrived and it seems to work great. The mount is really solid, works on the BMCC with no problems at all. Infinity focus works. Overall I'd say a decent option to get some vintage Canon glass and use it on the BMCC

Would really appreciate it if you could upload some test footage shot with this lens and post a link here. I am considering it too.

I had some test footage that I deleted but I'll try to shoot something and post it soon. I really like the look of the lens.

After using it for a little while my only complaint really is that the aperture control is on the end of the lens instead of up by the body. So that feels a little weird, but doesn't have any effect on the image quality of course.
