I was messing around with some settings when i got my cinema camera, then shortly it just turns off, and wont turn ON again???? WTF please tell there is a fix to this, i plugged the camera in the charger in but still has no effect of turning on. Please HELP

What firmware version? Did you enable DNxHD when this happened?

YES i did, then just turn off?

Happened before. There's a good chance that installing the latest firmware will fix this, as others have reported in this forum before.

Really? well see the thing is , this happened to me before. first time i send it to 3rd party re-sellers and they gave it to blackmagic in CA to fix it and they did, but just right now happened again. so how do i update firmware?

Download the latest software for that camera from the support section of the BM site.

Install it, connect the camera via USB. It will then update the camera. Should fix the issue. Camera is probably on vet 1.2.1 or earlier.

Let me know if you can get it to work. I posted about having the same problem but can't get the firmware to update.

The 1.3.1 Firmware release should fix your problem.

If the software isn't seeing the camera via USB - then try pressing on the power button (even if it doesn't seem like it's doing anything). Hopefully that will allow the computer to see the camera, and begin the update.

I was able to get it working after replacing the USB cable. Thanks.
