What do you think about Kamerar FF-3 Follow focus and Kamerar Tank TK-2 Cage? Is there anybody knows them, how are their built quality and are they durable?

This is follow focus: http://kamerar.com/products/kamerar-ff- ... rods-clamp

Normally I would say "You get what you pay for" But we never know what we get, unless someone else gets and pays for it first, and then lets us know

So let us know what you think :ugeek:

I have the follow focus and find it does the job pretty well. For the price you're not going to beat it.

muratcangokce,

I like it, but with a couple of reservations. Because it attaches to just a single rod, the angle that it sits at depends on the diameter of the lens. This affects how easy it is to get to the knob that loosens or tightens it on the rods. On my setup, it typically means that the the tightening knob hits part of my baseplate, making it difficult to loosen or tighten it when changing lenses.

The other main issue is that mine had a fair bit of backlash in it. However, this video shows how to deal with it:

Depending on how large your lens is, and how your camera sits on your baseplate, you may have no problem adjusting it. It's pretty hard to beat the price and overall quality, despite these small issues.

I concidered getting camerar ff too but then found this one and really happy with it. Hard stops are a big deal IMHO

I also checked out fotga, and I liked it but there is no seller who sells fotga but there is a seller who sells kamerar in Turkey... Prices are almost same, but I think I'll get the fotga as follow focus. It seem more durable and useful.

As long as cages, some people said check out ephoto cage, and I checked it out, It is seem to fit seamless to BMCC like viewfactor but it is made by metal and no ventilation holes... Is viewfactor has ventilation holes, I am not sure. I think only shape cage has them.
