PostSat Jun 29, 2013 6:55 am

Hi

I have attempted to install the disk that came with the blackmagic cinema camera and every time it gets half way then rolls back and quits the install. I have no idea why.
my system is:
windows 7
intel i7 2.0 GHz
8gg ram
64 bit.

can anyone help with this

(i have also attempted to download the same installer from this website and the same thing happened)

It is possible the DVD/CD is bad, or your DVD/CD reader/burner is bad or dirty, Rollback installs are usually driver related since it's trying to install drivers, and when it fails to install they are removed via rollback.

Is your OS a upgrade from Vista to Win7?
Do you have WIN7 Data Execution Prevention (DEP) on or off?

Another reason could be your ANTI VIRUS, blocking the install, and yet another could be your system is infected, Very hard to diagnose your problem without some log files, BMD support may have better answers for you when they see your post and eventuality reply.

Other that it may be your video card is not compatible, but I don;t think that would cause a rollback uninstall.

Did you try uninstalling the current software first?

it may also be your credentials under win7,
Try installing by right mouse clicking on the .exe file and choose “Run As Administrator"
