BMMCC 4k Green SDI output

Hello,

I've been using my 2nd hand BMMCC 4k for a month now or so.

Always have used it with SDI cables to a Video Assist 4K.

However after updating the firmware yesterday I can't get an SDI output anymore. It only shows green noise. The HDMI works fine.

Does anyone know what might be the issue? I read that sometimes SDI can short the port?

What FW update did you try using? Roll back to the previous FW and see if the issue corrects itself. ;)

I know this is an old post, but I have a BMMCC 4k and my SDI output is garbled green when trying to do output from BMMCC (short DIN 1.0/2.3 Right angle to larger BNC Female and SDI Male to Male) to Black Magic Mini Converter SDI to HDMI 6g, then a short HDMI cable from Converter to PC using a Blackmagic Decklink Quad. I'm using a PC and trying using BM software and OBS. When trying to get a 4k signal, I get a black screen, when just letting it run auto its a green garbled screen.

I guess my question is, did you ever figure out your issue?

Assuming you mean the G1 micro studio, make sure that SDI raw is turned off.

Good Luck

ACTUALLY... I think you meant the G1 4k... and I assumed SDI Raw is something you should have had ON .... but now I turned it Off like you suggested and I did get a signal finally... only its 1080 but its still something ... and so now at least I know my SDI Out port works ... So Thank you...

I assumed SDI Raw output is something that needed to be on for 4k output since without 4k raw being on I couldn't set the resolution to 4k...

Going to keep tinkering. Thank you.
