Which PL-mount adapters work well with BMCC MFT?

Hey guys,

I just received a PL-adapter ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/Zeiss-Cooke-Arr ... 0930889636 ) which I wanted to us on my BMCC. It did fit with some metal coming off when screwing it on for the first time :o which I know is horrible in itself.

It would be fine with me if back focus was right. It is not. Two well serviced Zeiss/ARRI lenses are way off and go way beyond infinity. The seller admitted that they build their adapters slightly off to have lenses reach infinity with every camera.

Any recommendations for a good, not super expansive PL-adapter that has the right back focus with BMCC MFT? Who has done tests? The Hot Rod adapters are out of my price range.

Thank you all,

Julian

This here is a perfect fit, also backfocus is easy adjustable. http://www.ebay.de/itm/Arri-PL-Zeiss-Co ... 3a7a534359

on a similar topic... I'm looking for a place in london which rents mft-pl adapters, does anyone know who could have them? I've checked most of the usual suspects, and if they have them at all they are for sale only.

Hey Frank, thanks! How does the backfocus adjustment work?

Best,

Julian

You loosen a set screw at the end and than the backfocus can be adjusted in or out, by turning the adapter front. When happy tighten the set screw and done.

I really prefer this, compared to shimming, cause you can do it in the field on the camera in minutes, without taking the whole shebang apart.
