Hi Everyone

A few days ago at IBC I filmed the following report showing Mike Tapa's MTF adapters being fitted to the Blackmagic Cinema Camera MFT.

Mike Tapa of MTF http://www.mtfservices.com meets up with Stuart Ashton of Blackmagic Design - to investigate using MTF adapters with the, just announced, Blackmagic Cinema Camera MFT (micro four thirds.)

What they find is that Mike Tapa's MTF adapters fit perfectly to the micro four thirds mount on the Blackmagic Cinema Camera MFT. This open up a whole world of possibilities for using lenses from Nikon, Canon (FD), and PL mount cinema lenses.

Check it out - I'm fascinated by where this technology is taking us.

Cheers,

Rick

Here's the direct link to the product (designed to interface with an electronic MFT mount but apparently solves the problem how to integrate Canon EF lenses on the passive MFT mount of the BMCC.

Mike is a great guy - we talked to him on the IBC as well. The EF MFT mount with the seperate controller is really sturdy and works great, and it enables OIS on EF lenses as well. But of course the precision and built quality has it's price ;)
