Rendered Video stutting if I render the entire timeline ?

PostSat Dec 02, 2023 2:24 pm

Hi,

Am using Davinci Resolve Studio 18.6.3

My timeline is over 1 hour long.

If I render part of the timeline using Input & Output Points then the output video is perfect.

If I render the entire timeline then the output video is stuttering every 1 second.

Any idea what is happening ? :|

Could be that you are running out of GPU memory during the render. Can you tell us about your system and the details of the project settings?

You have lots of VRAM and the AMD GPU isn't as sensitive to running out of VRAM as the nVidia is so perhaps that isn't what's happening. You can monitor your GPU memory usage during rendering to see if it maxes-out, I suppose. I believe there is also an advanced rendering option to reduce the load on your system during rendering (something about render speed) if it turns out that the issue is with the system being overloaded but I'm just grasping at straws here. Sorry - nothing definitive.

Bring the export back into Resolve, Bursin, and compare frames where it skips. Let's get a close look at what's going on.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

I rendered the entire timeline in the default YouTube 2160p preset and it is fine. No stuttering. :?

I honestly suspect its another bug. After 18.6, I have had many bugs in Resolve which I had never ever experienced before. And that was the main reason I moved from Premiere to Resolve.

Im in a 25 frame timeline.

I did that. 24 frames are static then 1 frame moves.

What do I do next ?
