No Audio Waveform in Resolve 18.6

Hi,

Can someone help with displaying the audio waveform in DaVinci?

I'm on the edit page and watched a few YouTube videos showing where the timeline view options are to display the waveform. I have also made the audio track height taller but all is see a solid green bar with the audio filename. The audio plays fine in DaVinci and other applications.

What is the length / duration of your files? Sometimes I wait for over 10 mins before Davinci shows wave forms and this on very fast hardware. In an effort to make the ui responsive they fire off many events in background threads. This means you have no indication or progress bars or knowledge of what it's doing in the background. If you have followed the normal, clear cache route check task manager to see if it's doing something in the background, if so, maybe wait. Remember Vegas would also take a while with large projects but atleast it would tell you it's busy building waveforms.
