Create Subtitles from Audio = Blank Audio result

Trying to generate subtitles for a feature. Working with DR Studio 18.6 on Mac. Have tried the Mac Pro and Mac Studio. Tried a new project with just the export and 5.1 audio. Then tried again with just the center track in the timeline set to mono. In all cases I am just getting [BLANK_AUDIO] showing up about 100 times in equal time duration.

Got it to work on a short a few months ago. Hmmm.

Same thing just happened to me. In order to actually create subtitles from the audio in my timeline, I need to export the audio track, then transcribe it, then create subtitles from that.
