Resolve 19.01 Unusable

In Resolve Preferences - System - Memory and GPU - GPU Configuration: Set GPU processing mode to Auto or CUDA. OpenCL does not work with NVIDIA GPUs.

Would be so nice if all of Dwaine’s knowledge were wrapped up into a diag utility that told you what was off in your config.

When I get a minute I may just delete it and try a reinstall, but I could also just download and install like, Resolve 18.6 right?

With the NVIDIA Studio Driver 561.09 on my RTX 4070 Ti Davinci Resolve works like a dream, as soon as I update the driver to 566 I get the dreaded Error 700 GPU messages in no time at all, the playback flashes green blocks on the viewfinder or is stuttery and the simplest task causes the message and a crash. I've tried a clean install of both the GPU and DR.

So damn annoying.

I have a 4070 Ti
13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900KF 3.00 GHz
RAM 64.0 GB (63.8 GB usable)
Windows 11
DR GPU preference set to CUDA

It wouldn't be the first time that Nvidia have issued a problematic driver.

Im a relative newbie - been using DR (free version) for about 6 months and have recently been automatically updated to 19.01.I am working on a feature film and all was well until the update. No DR crashes on playback and on render,. i have created very small project to export as an example. I desperately need to finish this film and i can't even check that what I have done looks right.

It says i can't post URLs here - so how can i get the project .drp and the .zip log file visible to you?

I ended up giving up on 19.1, I reinstalled 18.5 and it's working just fine

Why not 18.6.6? It was rock solid for us here.

I am having the following problems:
1. Save stops working (or save as) - I even tried exporting the project in Media Management - files exported but no project file.

2. Undo - Same thing as above and both seem to occur together

3. Add to Render Queue stops working at same time - tried to at least render out a movie of what I had

* the only workaround for #1 I found was if I open a second project at the same time then go back to the first one - Save works again. HOWEVER, opening a second project doesn't always work. I posted the Details error I get below. I am using Mac Sonoma 14.6.1

A. Can I roll back to 19?
B. Can I reinstall 19.1 over this one to see if something happened in the install?
