Inferring from your question: it's not time limited. But OTOH, BM never promised that updates would be free until the end of times. Though, until now, they have been free for many years.

I hear about when you have de License number in a card, you can use the license key in 2 computers.

Is that correct? can I find this in some document?

It's in the official FAQ that Blackmagic Design has posted on this forum (listed under Announcements).

Peter Chamberlain wrote:How many machines can I use my activation key on?
Each activation key can be activated twice, for example once on a desktop workstation and another on a laptop. If the license key is activated a third time, then all previous activations of the software will be cleared, and you will need to activate any copy again.

Back in 2010, when Blackmagic first introduced Resolve 6 (after purchasing all the IP from daVinci Systems), they said at NAB, "we don't anticipate that any software updates will be paid." They've since said "there's no guarantee that all future updates will be free, but they have all been free since 2010." My memory is that daVinci 2K and Resolve updates prior to 2010 were at least $5000, but that's back when the entry-level version was about $200,000. [Peter can tell me if I'm in the ballpark.]

If they had just charged $50 per update since 2010, we'd now all owe them more than $500. I think it's remarkable that Resolve Studio has continued to be such an incredible bargain. But as I always say: "the trick is that the cost of the hardware can be much more of a challenge. $299 for software is chickenfeed. But when you add up a fast system, a calibrated color monitor, a control surface, lots of storage, extra SSD drives for cache and so on... it adds up."

Well, I hope that BMD will continue to offer unlimited free updates to the studio version. :)
In the worst case scenario, they could charge for very specific Pro featurs in the Studio version.. like an Add-on featur so the user have the option.
