After making a project and playing with some of the new features, I had a problem where DVR 20 started crashing every time after loading the project screen.
Decided to uninstall it and try a reinstall, and that's where I found out the uninstaller was broken. Although it was reported as uninstalled and removed from the app list the icons still appeared for Resolve. If I clicked on them DVR 20 would actually load like normal and then crash at the project window.
Tried overwriting by reinstalling, but Resolve reported as already installed, so would not over write the installation.
Had I not had a removal tool, I'd have been stuck at that point. I had to run Revouninstaller, click on force uninstall and have it do a force uninstall. It found some leftovers, which included the main folder. After running that app, it STILL was listed as already installed when I tried to reinstall it. So I had to go in with the advanced tools and have it use search terms to get rid of every trace it could find. Which meant the activation was also removed.
After all that it showed as not already being installed. Now I'm running a traced install. Will see if the problem pops up again, but at least this time I can use the traced install to uninstall it if the problem reoccurs.
Using Windows 10 updated to the latest version
RTX 4070 and RTX 3060, latest studio drivers
