You Have reached a limitation

PostWed Apr 09, 2025 11:35 pm

DRS 20 Beta has displayed a "You have reached a limitation with Davinci Resolve" message when I attempted to open a newly created project.

The text indicates I need to purchase Davinci Resolve, which I bought years ago and have had no licensing issues with the non-beta 19.1.4 version.

I was able to open my first test project in DRS 20 Beta, but not this second test project.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be welcome.

You have mistakenly "upgraded" to the Free version of 20.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Thank you for pointing my oversight.

It happens often enough that I wish they'd put a bright red box around the "correct" Resolve Studio download.

I always download from Resolve itself. That way it is always the correct version. I have checked the box for beta version so when one is available I get the popup screen. I can then choose to download or skip.

Same here. I have the Beta notifications on, so I see when those become available.
