I would love to see an UHD H.265 option added. One that is very high quality UHD H.265 in that it has the 422 10-Bit properties, and has a data rate in the vicinity of 100 mbps for 24 FPS, which isn't too different from some options available in cameras like Sony A7IV. The largest mbps that camera will do is 240 at 24 FPS. Since these will primarily be Edit Proxies off RAW then 100 should be more than adequate enough. That ends up being 12 MB/s, and even a Terabyte of BMD Cloud Storage will cost $15/month. For 22 hrs and 13 minutes worth of proxies that is pretty decent.
Obviously in camera the URSA Cine and PYXIS line default to HD at 1 MB/s. That's barely 1/5 of what a DSLR from 2010 would do. So for HD Proxies that barely takes up any space.
However, for those of us that want to work with UHD Proxies a 1TB storage is easily doable for traveling. I have 4TB SSDs these days for travel drives. But 5TB does cost $75/month in Cloud Storage, so you can have 1 TB to spare in the Cloud. And, 4 TB would be 3 Days 16 Hours worth of UHD Proxy Footage.
This is for those of us who want to work with UHD footage bare minimum while editing. The current HD options in Proxy Generator are easily better than the In Camera Proxies. So those don't need to be changed. If I wanted to have HD Proxies I'd use those settings. This is mainly adding an extra UHD option that is decent enough for working proxies.
