Voiceover - not recording

On Apple M3, 8GB, Sequoia 15.4 Beta
The voiceover tool opens, can be connected to any microphone that I possess.

Resolve 20 simply will not record audio [includes attempts with built in and external].

Tested microphones - internal and external with other programs on the same device - no problem.

Which device is configured as the default device in Audio MIDI Setup?

Yes, MacOS permissions are in place. Full access.

Default device presently the Mac microphone and built in speakers. Changing from device to device makes no difference that I can see.

The problem - now fixed - lay in the MacOS. The microphone permissions are separate from other permissions. Once checked - works like an absolute charm.
