Bins instead of deleted projects

all of these folders in the Project Manager were not created by me.

Each time I delete a project, a folder with the same name as the deleted project appears on the next load. If I delete those folders, they appear again in the next load!

Please define which exact version of Resolve, where your project library is saved and if there are and projects in those folders?

Initially, it was Resolve Studio 19. I don't remember the exact number, but it's not the latest 19 with ProRes encoding.
Now, I have upgraded to Resolve 20.0B build 23. and the issue is still there.

the location is D:\Google Drive\projects\Resolve Project Library

yep, that was Google Drive messing up. I relocated the Project Library to another place and now it's ok

It’s not “messing up.” It’s offloading files you haven’t used in a long time to reclaim space. When upgrading the database Resolve is using some system call that bypasses Google Drive’s ability to put the normal file back when a program tries to read it.

They know about this and have chosen not to address the problem.

There are a whole lot of reasons why I avoid Google Drive like a plague. No matter what the company says, for me, Google has been evil for a long time.

Not talking about Google here. We’re talking about any form of cloud storage. Do you really want to turn this discussion into a morality play?
