Fresh Install of Resolve using a dongle

So i bought a new computer and i'm doing a clean install.. i have the dongle inserted , but i don't get an option to use the dongle.

i just get 2 options, licence key or cloud.

how do i re-install ?

Are you using a USB hub? Have you tried a different port?

i have tried using a hub and plugged directly into my laptop, neither work. Should the dongle just work?

its been that long since ive installed it from fresh

Which version of Resolve is installed? Which version was working with the dongle?

Was the dongle purchased second hand or through an authorised reseller?

Purchased through n authorised reseller ... Scan in the UK.
It was version 16 admittedly, it worked with 19.

Should work. Have multiple generations of Resolve dongle that still work with Resolve Studio 20.

Even in version 19 it only gave the two options. Now whether that is because I've always used an Activation Key and not a dongle I don't know. What happens if you click Continue with the dongle inserted?

i get the same screen, when continue is pressed it just asks for a licence key. (thanks for adding the image, i didnt know how to add it )lol

i can that linux can see the dongle when i insert it

Just to add, the dongle is in a dual boot laptop and works fine for my windows installation. And whilst i was running DR i pulled the dongle out and it complained straight away.

Just linux problems i think, ill try another distro.
