Export timeline with 24fr handles

PostThu Apr 17, 2025 1:46 pm

Hi,

This is the second question, thanks for your help!

I would like to export the timeline and export new clips that are trimmed from the original raw files into quicktimes with 24+24frame handles for each clip in the process.

What is the best way to do that in Resolve?

And when I receive the graded clips back (each clip will have 24+24frame handles right?), how can I easily swap all clips with the new ones without changing the timeline timing?
the idea is that the graded clips have a bit of handles to allow margins in the online.

What software will be used for the grading?
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

The Resolve user manual has details about round trip workflows using AAF, XML or EDL file formats. It will depend upon what works best with Baselight. Talk to the colourist who will be doing the grading.
Resolve 19.1.4 Mac OSX 15.3.2 Sequoia, Monitor 3G, FSI SDI grading monitor.
Mac M1 Studio Max 32GB
