Controls for Animated Subtitle Track Greyed out

I've seen several other bugs with the new animated subtitle documented here, but this is a new one and renders it completely useless.

If I apply an animated subtitle preset to the subtitle track all of the controls under "track" are greyed out.

Maybe its a bug, or maybe there is some obscure settings mismatch that I'm missing?
