Media Management Trimming Problem prores 4444

PostThu Apr 17, 2025 8:58 pm

Hi,
I have prores 4444 files from an Alexa MiniLF in 3840x2160. Editing went smoothly, but when I try to trim the timelines files to send it to Grading it doesn't work. Copying without trimming even shows me less data then when I activate trimming. Rosolve is running on a windows machine.
Resolve version 20 beta (but it didn't work with 19 either)

Tnhaks for helping me out.

Solved it myself, there was a combined clip left in the timeline that caused the trouble (and also some clips at this famous save for later spot at the end of the timeline  )

Yes, Compound Clips and a few other weird formats can cause the train to come off the tracks.

I had a few cases where missing clips were way off the timeline (out of view on the Edit page), and those were causing Media Management to fail. There's a few "gotcha's" on that list.
