Davinci 20 stops playing audio

PostFri Apr 18, 2025 11:38 am

Hi Guys,

I have a video that I'm working on, that has a clip, then an inserted timeline sequence, then more clips and music.
the issue is that as soon as it finishes playing the timeline, the audio disappears.
When I look at fairlight, I can see the audio meters bouncing up and down, but no sound.

If I close and reopen the timeline, and play it after the inserted timeline, the audio after timeline is working fine again.
It all worked fine until just now, where I was working on the ending of the video.
Any ideas what could be wrong?

thanks

Please indicate Resolve version (including Free vs Studio), operating system, and computer spec. Include this information in your signature to assist troubleshooting.

Any change decomposing the Timeline in place in the Fairlight environment?

Nesting timelines has a history of throwing up issues. Until that works flawlessly, you may be better off avoiding the practice.

Copy the clips from that nested timeline and Paste them into the main timeline, instead of nesting.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
