Anyone experience this?
When I delete clips from a timeline, Resolve freezes for anywhere from 10 secs to many minutes. The more clips I delete, the longer it takes to live save. It doesn't seem to matter if it's a video clip with effects, or an audio clip, or a simple title effect. The more duration that's removed, the longer it takes to Live Save.
Deleting timelines from the Media Pool takes even longer. Like deleting 5 timelines takes over an hour.
These timelines are 1080p, vertical. About 1-3 min long each. Media is some 12K URSA, BM 6Ks, and Sony w MPEG footage. Some effects like stabilizations in Edit page or Fusion. Some DR noise reduction, basic color (1-2 nodes). Nothing crazy. Project has about 280 timelines (most are old versions for safe keeping). Project file is around 44mb. Not huge.
This only happens...
- On a server. When the project and media are local, the Live Save is nearly instant, no matter what I delete. It doesn't seem to matter which server the project is on (we have two at work).
- When removing material. Everything's fine when adding clips, duplicating timelines, copying pasting clips into timelines, etc.
- When saving. Resolve is fast again when Live Save is off, but once I hit save, it takes a long time again.
I tried...
- Smaller versions of the project w very few timelines. Resolve Live-Saves faster w smaller version of the project, but not as fast as working w the full project on a local hard drive.
- Removing all effects. I removed fusion comps, attributes, stabilizations... everything from the clips in the timeline, which does give me the spinny wheel for a moment, but then deleting material from the timeline or deleting the timeline itself still makes Resolve freeze when Live Save activates.
Welcoming any thoughts, cuz at the office here we're a bit stumped. Thanks! =)
