Notes from my first v20 project

PostMon Apr 28, 2025 3:09 pm

I worked on a full project on v20 this weekend. There was not a single render that exported correctly. Every time, at least one audio clip would just mute itself. Waveforms still there, just no sound. Had to restart Resolve each time which fixed it each time but you can't restart during a render.

Then to make matters worse I thought I'd finish my audio mix off with the new AI tools. They took my audio from ok to completely useless.

Cloud collaboration is broken now, too. I was ripping along on a local version. Copied to cloud and it instantly started taking about 2 seconds for any command (click, key, etc) to register.

All that said, when on a local edit the program does seem to be running faster than ever.

You don't really give the developers anything useful to work from, here.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Clips are muting. Mute = no sound.
AI audio destroyed the mix. Destroyed = I don't know, it's automated. The result is trash. FX got randomly muted. Levels were much more artificial than intelligent.
Very slow reactions when on cloud project. Slow = not fast.

Is that better? Not everybody speaks or thinks the exact same as anyone else.

I'll let staff answer that.
