Files in External Hard Drive not appearing

All my connected external hard drives are appearing in the upper left under "Media Storage." However, when I click on the little arrows to the left of the drives, nothing appears on these 2 drives. The drop down arrow points downward but the files on these drives do not appear. However, for one of my external hard drives (see "Mobile Drive" in attached doc), the files do appear as you can see. So why are the files not showing up for these other 2 drives? (I just upgraded to DR 16.2, in case that matters). Any help would be much appreciated. I'm new to DR so maybe I'm just not doing something simple.

The most likely explanation for your screen shot, is that there are no files in the Business drive that Resolve supports.

Resolve won't display files it doesn't support.

Now I'm getting the same behavior, and I'm on 18 Beta. Here's the thing, if I drag & drop the files to the Cut page media pool, they appear there, I can put them on a time line etc.

BUT - I can't see anything below the SSD drive letter in Media page.

When I try to track a shirt Red shirt against white curtain from Camera 1 it shows a mask for the frame I stroked on, but when it moves the mask and tracking go away. Simply drawing another stroke will cause that frame to get a mask, and then everything stops.

So I copied the files to my Seagate 10TB external HDD and I do see them and can track Camera 2. Camera 1 still has the one frame only problem.

Possibly two different issues.

Edit to add - the files will play and render proxies etc. Just don't want to track.

the external SSD is a Crucial X8 1 TB drive I bought to hold media while on the road. What up?

Thanks Jim, I'll post the tracking issue there. As for the files not appearing, after rebooting myself (sleep) and the computer, the files are appearing. I found a right-click on the drive give a "Refresh" option. That brought up the contents of the SSD as expected. Just saying in case someone else stumbles on this thread.

I was having the same issue with files on my mounted network storage drive not appearing. I was also having issues with imported media randomly showing as offline in my timeline. A reboot of my machine fixed both of these issues.

I'm experiencing exactly the same issue with V19 on Mac M4 and nothing helps so far. I'm not able to work out of the external drive. I see HD I don't see files. When I'm dropping files they are not showing in Media. Is there any patch or workaround? I'm not finding any so far.

That implies that Resolve does not support the files types you are using.

Are you using the free or the Studio version of Resolve? And is it Resolve from the BMD Support site, or Apple App Store Resolve?

If you can provide a link to one of the files that Resolve is not working with, that would be helpful.

Also, this is the Resolve Supported CODEC guide. If the files types are not listed as supported in this guide, that would be an issue:

My bad HD was wrongfuly formatted, I solved it properly formatting and setting it up as APFS.
