Proxy generation not using custom path

PostSat Apr 05, 2025 9:49 pm

Hi everyone,

I've set a custom path for proxy generation in the Project Settings, but when I generate proxies, they still get saved in the original media file location instead of the specified custom path.

I’ve confirmed that “Use project settings” is checked under Preferences > Media Storage.

For context, this is a cloud project, in case that matters.

Has anyone else run into this issue, or is there something I might be missing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You're creating these proxies with the stand alone app, or from within Resolve?

I'm generating the proxies within resolve.

OK.

Test with a Local Library to see if being a Cloud Library matters.

Hey. I'm having the same problem. I set up a cloud project for colaboration with other editors. Yet, when I'm generating proxies they are put in the original file's location instead of the one I set up in project which isn't ideal.

*edit: in local projects, it works as intended and uses the proxy location of my choosing.
